Refund and Cancellation Policy for Checkmate

Introduction

We at Checkmate are committed to ensuring a smooth and pleasant experience for our guests. The following Refund and Cancellation Policy has been established to maintain transparency and fairness for all bookings made with us.

RESERVATION TERMS

Advance Booking

Guests are advised to make bookings in advance to secure availability.

Advance Payment

A deposit equivalent to 50% of the total booking amount is mandatory to confirm reservations.

Dynamic Rates

Room rates are dynamic and not guaranteed until a confirmation voucher is issued. Once booked, the selected rate is final, and no refunds will be entertained due to price variations.

Taxes and Fees

All rates are subject to prevailing local taxes and fees. Any changes in government-imposed taxes or fees will be reflected in the final bill.

Promotional Rates

Promotional or discounted rates are non-refundable and may not permit modifications or cancellations.

Reservation Modification or Cancellation by Checkmate

Checkmate reserves the right to modify or cancel reservations if fraudulent or incomplete information is detected.

Additional Services

Requests for extra services or amenities are subject to availability and may incur additional charges.

OCCUPANCY POLICY

Suite Capacity

Each suite accommodates up to 4 adults comfortably.
Additional guests (where permissible) will incur extra charges as per prevailing rates.

Registered Guests Only

For safety and comfort, only registered guests are allowed in the suites. Visitors must be approved by management.

CANCELLATION AND EARLY CHECKOUT POLICY

Cancellation by Guests

15 Days or More Before Check-In: Full refund of the advance payment.
8 to 14 Days Before Check-In: 50% refund of the advance payment.
7 Days or Less Before Check-In: No refund.

Peak Season and Holiday Periods

Bookings for peak seasons (e.g., Christmas, New Year, long weekends) are non-refundable if canceled less than 30 days before check-in.

Early Checkout

For early checkouts, the full amount for the booked stay will be charged, and no refunds will be provided.

No-Show Policy

Guests who fail to check in without prior notice will forfeit their entire advance payment, and the reservation will be canceled.

MODIFICATION POLICY

Modification Requests

Requests for changes must be made at least 15 days before the check-in date. Approval will depend on availability.

Rebooking Rates

Modifications to a later date will be subject to prevailing rates on the new dates. Guests will be required to pay any difference in rates.

REFUND POLICY

Refund Processing

Approved refunds will be processed within 7-10 business days to the original payment method.

Non-Refundable Components

Taxes, transaction fees, and service charges are non-refundable.

Force Majeure

In the event of natural disasters, government restrictions, or emergencies, a credit voucher for future stays may be issued instead of a refund.

PAYMENT TERMS

Payment Methods

We accept all major credit/debit cards, UPI, net banking, and other approved payment methods.

Group Bookings

For group bookings (4 or more suites), a 45-day notice is required for cancellations to qualify for refunds.
